Chordroïd

Description

Chordroid is a free (as freedom) project which aim to provide an almost complete chord instrument toolkit for the Android platform.

Motivation

There is no free of charge application which provide this functionality without requiring crazy permission (no, localisation and full web access are not mandatory for a guitar toolkit).

Development status

At this time, Chordroïd is a work-in-progress project. I have released the 0.5 beta 1. As far as I know, all feature works correctly, the tuner is barely usable because of tradeof between speed and precision.

I won't work on new feature for some week, but I'll correct any confirmed bug.

Current feature

Browsable Tablature library for 6 string guitar.
Metronome from 30 to 260 bpm with a visual.
Tuner.
English and French translation.

Future feature

Multiple instrument support.
Alternate tuning support.
Chord finder (by audio analysis or user draw on tab).
Scales training.

Do you plan to provide it as a free-of-charge application on android Market ? R: Yes, I'm waiting to have enougth money to pay the 25$ requested for android application publication.
Can I help ? R (you are a musician) : Yes, test application on your androïd device and provide me some feedback. You can also help by providing spec for your instrument such as number of chord, number of fret interval to display on a tablature, standard tuning of the instrument (which note is played on each empty chord), and of course chord tablature.
